When the mind doesn’t stop

What do you do when everything seems to be crowding your mind, all seemingly urgently trying to take centre stage.

Trying to get your attention, to do something with it? (whatever “it” is)

Write it out

Doesn’t have to make sense or be organised

That can come later.

  • Move your body

There’s excess energy wanting to burst out

Allow your body to find it’s rhythm

Your mind will follow

Dance, stretch, follow what your body wants to do

Your mind needs a space to land

Let it

  • Breathe

This moment.

Breathe deeply

Gently, resting, pausing before the next barrage

Avalanche waiting to be consumed, digested and released

  • Speak

If sounds or words rise

Allow them

Your soul is asking for freedom

Allow them out of your body

Into the world

We are not designed to stay in one space

To be only one thing or another

Get curious

Explore

Awaken to the possibilities

That live within and without
