(A short opinion piece on living through the current social climate.)
Quacks like a duck, waddles like a duck but wants to be identified as a lion as that is how it feels it should be.
“Women are hormonal and irrational” but let’s look at the way some men act. Act out of anger, they “couldn’t help themselves” yet women are the ones subjected to judgement and criticism for how they respond.
Men only spaces exist today have for as long as they have been people.
Women only spaces were few and far between. Years gone by when women came to that time of the month they were secreted away treated as invisible and dirty, then only fit to be seen, if at all when deemed suitable to men.
Last 100 years women’s rights have clawed and demanded, excavated and created spaces where they could breathe, free to be themselves and connect with other women freely.
It’s scientifically been proven that men and women’s brains function differently, along with other physiological differences, yet we’re expected to play along with the fantasy that a minority have decreed they wish to be seen as truth.
You can’t dress a duck as a lion, listen to the quack and believe it is a lion.
The absurdity that we are being force fed is reaching unheard of proportions.
In what reality is it OK for women to once again, be subjected to forced compromises, which happens over and over again?
We do not live in the Middle Ages. We do not live in the 18th century. We live in the 21st century.
It feels like every step forward for justice and equality is being pushed back.
A slippery slope that may take years to recover from, all because a minority, for their own reasons I cannot barely hope to guess at, wish things to follow a narrative that has been engineered and many brainwashed into believing.
Wake up people.
Is this what we want for our children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers?
This effects all of us and it’s time to take a stand, for if you stand for nothing you will fall for everything, at the mercy of others who’ve decided, you’ve decided, has the power over you.
Use your voice, speak up, acknowledge what is happening.
The time to be quiet and passive is done. If we don’t make noise then we will not be heard and decisions made without our input, will become runaway trains crashing into each other.
We can be respectful and still have boundaries.
We can still wish others well and be able to say no.
No is a complete sentence.
Note, this is note a dig at men, far from it. Men and women work together to shape this world into one that works for all.
This is to shine light on the fantasies that are being perpetrated and we, as a majority population, are expected to roll over for a tiny minority which hurts us all.
The people that wish to be identified a certain way, cool, you do you.
But when it impinges on another’s right to safety, their very essence being expected to shrink to make room for a story that hurts too many, that is when it is a line in the sand that we all need to decide on.
Furthermore, from what I’ve seen of the people who are biological men choosing to identify as women, seem to have an agenda.
They come across as aggressive, defensive and completely disrespectful of women in general.
Why would you wish to identify with a gender that you seem to dispise?
Comes back to hurt people, hurt people.
Instead of sending anger, shame or pity their way, I choose to send love and hope they receive the support they are clearly looking for.
Seeing the hurt doesn’t erase it and doesn’t mean we need to be complicit in their story.
We can choose how we respond to the stories and decide whether to believe in science and biological reality or something else.
