Not many speak into what it costs when there is a focus on releasing. The emotional, releasing mental & physical.
Releasing for a society that’s so gung ho on weight loss there doesn’t seem to be much mentioned after the fact. Most people can spend years focusing on one specific theme in their life. Could be money and getting out of debt. Could be health and healing what is perceived as wrong or not right with them.
Healing relationships and fixing noticing.
Not many of us know how to just be be with what’s current, in the moment.
We constantly look to the next thing, something to strive for the illusion of perfection, even if we don’t acknowledge that’s what we want or believe should be.
So what happens when changes flow in and we get what we believe we want, are we aware of what is being asked to be released?
To let go of what was.
As we make room for the new, there is a relief in letting go, allowing life to flow there is also a cost hidden, buried as we move from one state of being to another.
The silent grief letting go also means letting the old die. The person you used to be metaphorically dies. Pieces you thought were solid, unchangeable shift in a moment, yet the world continues on.
Those around you barely notice as they focus on their own stuff.
You can feel like an entirely new person, some bits still hanging around.
Holding on through habit and old perceptions, adrift, alone, feelings rise for you to see, acknowledge and accept.
Resistance, sadness, anger all vying for your attention.
Every step you take will lead you away from what you once thought would be forever.
When there is a change and you release what was and open to the new, the cost can feel high.
You will never be as you once were.
The journey will ask much of you.
Are you willing to play or will you struggle?
Perceptions abound and the choices are yours. Rainbow of possibilities and opportunities if you are aware and open to them.
